Great new version with better visibility of content, excellent tool for curation and bookmarking!
Stunning new visualization
This new grid layout is awful! I hate it! The old graphical system was beautiful and fluid. This just a card catalog without the visual associations. Yuck! Pearls are NOT square!
Its PEARLtrees. Please get back to its real meaning. There are lot of apps that have dynamic grid views already. User(s) wants something unique, not something so common. User(s) wants the Pearls and Tree, not the Squares and List.
So far I like the concept- even if not totally original. I feel like Evernote may be more useful & has way more storage! The exception is that I can find lots of information on similar topics from other users because of the algorithms used by Pearltrees. Anyway, well see how it goes.
Tried this app. Nothing but unwanted emails resulted. Even after requesting them to remove me from all email lists, they persist in sending them. On top of that, it isnt worth a thing. Doesnt do anything useful.
Pearltrees WAS amazing. Concept mapping plus linking. Great for non-linear organization of sources. Now it is the worst linear folder system imaginable. If I just wanted to use folders, I could use bookmarks in my browser. I love the original version so much, I paid for a full year upgrade in my first week. Now its a waste of storage space and money. Can I give it negative stars?
So love the app as well as all the joy n happiness it brings my cotton candy mind. Giggles. Just amazing really as so simplifies my thoughts needs n wants without trying to think very hard.
Cool app name, guys. Youve made it utterly irrelevant.
When they got rid of the pearl trees, and brought in the chicklet column they should have pushed it as a separate product. The brilliance of their old product was visualization of information, not the practicality of data storage. Any cloud storage can do what the new product can do. This is boring.
I have loved pearl trees for the longest time but was upset when the actual trees where gone. I would love to see them back :)
But whenever I try to send things to my account by email, I just never received them... Or because i dont know where to find them? Beats me... This is so far the only flaw I got
I love Pearltrees! My favorite feature is that I can visually see anything that I place on Pearltrees, whether it is a website bookmarked, a file uploaded, an image, etc. I also love that I can organize my folders to my needs. It has revolutionized my presentation to my students!
I love it! I am a doctoral student and I love that I can search for information and bookmark it in Pearltrees. So glad that I found this app!
A teacher friend showed me Pearltrees and now I use it exclusively to organize my digital resources and links. I like that I can also archive website pages with the Premiium version. Visually it is very appealing. Moving and adding files from just about any source is simple with Pearltrees. I have the app on my phone so I have access to my collections anywhere. I have also found many excellent resources by viewing the collections most like my own.
I’m an educator who’s used Pearltrees in earnest since the start of the year. It seems that most every week, I discover useful new websites by exploring the Pearltrees of others who’ve added similar bookmarks. This social feature sets Pearltrees apart from other bookmarking services. I also like the way you can quickly set a bookmark on the fly, and categorize it later. Finally, I can create private collections for details such as help forum webpages and other minutia that’s difficult to keep track of with traditional bookmarks, and isn’t likely to be of interest to others.
I love this app. I use it to share things with my students. The only things that I dont like is that students cant view it on their smart phones without the app and that it crashes when I try to open a PDF into another app.
Love being able to cluster webpages into folders easily and visually! Great email functionality to email a URL link to your pearltree. Although i am not quite sure of where my dropzone is that i am referred to when emailing. Welldone pearl tree team, this reminds me a bit of pinterest!
I love how easy it is to save and share my favorite media in one place. I use this app for my travel guide. I have all the places I have been and all the places I want to go as well as pictures, links, and such all organized and it is great. Im not a huge fan of the folder style. I wish there was an on/off setting for the folders so that I could go back to the circular branching view of my pearltrees but overall wonderful app
